How to Receive Your DirectAxis Personal Loan Funds

Once your DirectAxis personal loan application is approved and all documentation is in order, funds are disbursed directly into your South African bank account. DirectAxis does not pay out in cash, cheque, or via any digital wallet.

Direct Bank Transfer

DirectAxis transfers the approved loan amount — net of any fees added to the loan — directly to the bank account you registered during your application. This is the only disbursement method available.

Disbursement Timeline

The 48-hour clock starts once all of the following are complete:

  1. Your application is approved
  2. You have accepted the loan quote
  3. The credit agreement (contract) is signed electronically
  4. Your bank has confirmed the debit order via SMS or your banking app

In practice, many customers receive their funds the same or next business day. Weekends and public holidays may add time to the process.

What to Do If Funds Do Not Arrive

If 48 business hours have passed since you completed all steps and the funds are not in your account:

  1. Check that the bank account details you provided during the application are correct
  2. Contact DirectAxis customer service on 086 102 0304 (Mon–Sun, 08:00–20:00)
  3. For banking-detail related queries, call 021 764 3404
  4. Have your South African ID number and application reference number ready

FAQ — Receiving Funds

Can the funds be paid into someone else's account? No. For security and compliance reasons, DirectAxis transfers loan funds only into the applicant's own verified bank account — the same account from which repayments will be collected.

What if I want to change my bank account before disbursement? Contact DirectAxis on 021 764 3404 as soon as possible. Any account change requires verification and may extend the disbursement timeline.

Will I receive a notification when the money is transferred? DirectAxis will notify you. You will also receive an immediate transaction notification from your bank (if you have mobile banking notifications enabled).
