Once your Atlas Finance loan application is approved and you have signed the loan agreement electronically or in-branch, the company initiates payment directly to your nominated South African bank account.
Direct Bank Transfer (EFT)
Atlas Finance disburses all approved loans via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the bank account provided during the application. This is the primary payout method — there is no voucher disbursement for the standard digital loan product.
Step-by-Step Disbursement Process
- Application approved and agreement signed — your loan is confirmed and captured in the Atlas Finance system.
- EFT initiated — Atlas Finance submits a transfer to your bank, typically within the same business day for applications approved before the cut-off.
- Funds credited to your account — the speed of receipt depends on your bank:
| Bank | Typical Credit Time |
|---|---|
| Capitec Bank | Same business day in most cases |
| Standard Bank | Same or next business day |
| Absa | Same or next business day |
| FNB / First National Bank | Same or next business day |
| Nedbank | Same or next business day |
| African Bank | 1–2 business days |
- Confirmation notification — Atlas Finance typically sends an SMS or email confirmation once the transfer has been processed.
Important Requirements for Disbursement
- The bank account must be in the applicant's own name — third-party accounts are not accepted.
- The account must be an active South African bank account capable of receiving EFT credits.
- The account must also be suitable for a debit order (repayment collection), so ensure your account is in good standing.
What to Do if Your Payout Is Delayed
If funds have not appeared within two business days of signing your agreement:
- Contact Atlas Finance via their toll-free line: 0800 204 679 (free call, Mon–Fri 08:00–16:30).
- Alternatively, send a WhatsApp message to 0600 702 440 or email info@atcorp.co.za with your ID number and loan reference.
- Your bank may have a pending verification process for new EFT senders — contact your bank to confirm whether the transfer is held.
